We offer 3 Musical Theatre sessions a week, with young people of all ages up to 18 years old.

All sessions are run on a Saturday by our singing, dance and drama practitioners.

Some sessions are run in our church space, and some are run in our ‘EE’ space next to the works.

Musical Theatre (1) – 9:30 – 10:30am

This session is for our youngest people, in reception to year 5.

We teach musical theatre numbers from a variety of musicals and films, examples being Matilda, Mary Poppins, the Jungle Book and many more.

This year, they are working on a showcase of different numbers from Disney movies and other musicals.

In the past, this group have done a shorter version of Matilda the Musical composed of a few scenes, dances and songs put together in a 45-minute showcase.

Musical Theatre (2) – 10:30am – 12:00pm

This session is our middle group for young people aged 10-14.

They perform a musical once a year, the most recent production is Oliver, being performed in late November 2024.

Due to the high volume of young people in this session, there are two groups – one working on Oliver and the other on scenes from Lion King.

In the past, this group have done productions such as The Jungle Book, Matilda and many more.

Teen Musical Theatre – 12:30-3pm

This session is for the older side of our members in year 9 and above.
They work on more challenging productions requiring equal singing, dancing, and acting.

Full musical productions are performed once a year, such as
Rocky Horror Picture Show, Mean Girls, Jesus Christ Superstar and many more.
